UPDATE #2- We just got back from our photo shoot with Moosie, for the next "Rover" book by Andrew Grant (who, by the way, is super nice & very cool) and she was a total champ-diva-supermodel!! We are so proud of her! We brought her favorite treats- the ones she'll literally do ANYTHING for, and they worked like a charm. She listened to him, and struck her poses, and was exceptionally cute, as always!
Before it was time to go, I worked with her "posing"- standing was one she didn't know, but she already knows "sit", "down", "stay", "come", "heel", "speak" (which is more of a yodel), "spin" and "dance". I need to take her out in public to work on her obedience training so she doesn't get distracted by everything going on in the "real world" so dang much.
After a shoot that lasted only about 45 minutes, it looks like she may get a 2-page centerfold!! HAHAHAHA- my dog is a centerfold!!
I really liked the studio set-up, nice and professional, yet homey and informal at the same time. Very nice.
And then she pooped in the hallway.... and I cleaned it up.... yeah, embarrassing moment....

The photographer behind the Coffee Table book "Rover" (sales of which benefit various Dog Rescues), Andrew Grant (andrewgrantphoto.com) has contacted me, after seeing my photos of Moose (our "Bonsai Wolf"), to shoot her for the upcoming "sequel"- "Rover 2"...!!! OMG!!
My dog is going to be a "model"!!! (heeheehee).
I received a couple emails from him, asking to schedule a shoot- next Saturday the 17th; just "down the road" in Oceanside, if all goes well Moosie will be famous!!!
As someone still on the amateur side of photography (I've only been shooting seriously for about 4 years), I hope to have a chance to observe, and maybe even get some lighting pointers from this nice guy.
